Same old BS for the last 5 months.
United States, 2019-03-08 06:37:47Same old BS for the last 5 months.
United States, 2019-03-08 06:37:47Sextortion. Message was in an attached image file and Bitcoin address could not be parsed out of the spam text.
Finland, 2019-03-08 11:32:47Usual blackmail threat of sending webcam video - not much chance as I don't have a webcam and there is a coloured adhesive 'dot' over my MacBook camera.
United Kingdom, 2019-03-08 21:39:58Demands 1000USD
South Africa, 2019-03-09 08:00:39"Hi, this account is infected! Modify the pswd immediately!..."
United Kingdom, 2019-03-09 15:46:32Same as other reports.
Portugal, 2019-03-09 21:39:57The email came from an email which belongs to me except that i had not sent that email to my self and the person starts by letting me know that he or she is hacker and my account has been hacked therefore i should renew my password immediately, then he/ she lets me know that my account has been hacked and i should not try to look for him or her as it is hopeless for me to do so there after they he/she claims that they is a recording of me that they would send to all my contacts (but mind you i don't have a webcam )and my colleagues and they all my passwords then in his or her view a 1000 USD in bitcoin is a realistic amount for him or her for that little riddle.
South Africa, 2019-03-10 16:05:11Basically alleges they've hacked all passwords and will release porn video to contacts unless paid $1000 in Bitcoin
United States, 2019-03-10 21:00:36Claims to be porn site
Australia, 2019-03-10 21:21:50I just got an email with this, asking to pay bitcoins to the Bitcoin address above in order to stop the "hacker" from sending allege "videos of me masturbating" lol... Hi, your account has been infected! It will be good idea to change the password immediately! You might not heard about me and you really are most likely wondering why you're getting this particular message, proper? ...
Mexico, 2019-03-11 02:58:35Email sent from [email protected] through 45-236-64-140.tcpnet.com.br [45.236.64.140] by server.pacifichostings.com
Slovakia, 2019-03-11 21:30:41(Same message as everyone else in the comments here.) "Hacker" mistakenly allowed someone else's website & address to display in the header. Message is a "jpg" claiming there's a pixel embedded in the message that will supposedly e-mail the hacker as soon as you open the message. This "hacker" doesn't even include any previous passwords. All they have is an email address. Don't fall for it - it's easy to "spoof" anyone's email address and make a message appear to come from itself. They're trying to emulate an episode of Black Mirror, but failing to include an actual video from the victim's webcam.
United States, 2019-03-13 12:52:19I get this blackmail as sent from my address, obviously it's a spoofing. He says that hacked me, followed me on porn sites, recorded with my webcam (which I do not have :) ) and asks for $ 1000 on a bitcoin address.
