A blackmail was received. Criminals demanded a payment in BTC equal to some US$ 36,600 USD, saying “I know about the secret you are keeping from your wife and everyone else. You can ignore this letter and the info will be revealed, or pay me a $36,600 confidentiality fee in Bitcoin”. The letter also explained how to use bitcoin to make the payment. One more email arrived, the criminals insisted on their having a proof that may be unveiled to those I love and care, should I not pay in 5 days in exchange for keeping quiet about alleged affairs.
