Through your e-mail, I uploaded malicious code to your Operation System. I saved all of your contacts with friends, colleagues, relatives and a complete history of visits to the Internet resources. Also I installed a rat software on your device and long tome spying for you. [bla bla gimme the money or I send dirty pictures to your mom] Man, for someone who wants $843, he can't even be bothered to learn to write a correct English sentence.

How it was: In the software of the router to which you were connected that day, there was a vulnerability. I first hacked this router and placed my malicious code on it. When you entered in the Internet, my trojan was installed on the operating system of your device. After that, I made a full dump of your disk (I have all your address book, history of viewing sites, all files, phone numbers and addresses of all your contacts). A month ago, I wanted to lock your device and ask for a small amount of money to unlock. But I looked at the sites that you regularly visit, and came to the big delight of your favorite resources. I'm talking about sites for adults. I want to say - you are a big pervert. You have unbridled fantasy! After that, an idea came to my mind. I made a screenshot of the intimate website where you have fun (you know what it is about, right?). After that, I took off your joys (using the camera of your device). It turned out beautifully, do not hesitate.

I'm baffled this is a thing actually. I'm getting one per day of this blackmail spoofed emails. It's always the same structure, acussing me of some perversion and asking for bitcoins for silence. In my case they are using a password from a commonly known breach that happened in 2014. Take a look at the blockchain info, it's obvious this people are getting paid.

Same as people below - claims hack on 6/28/18. Got 4 simultaneous messages using this bitcoin account - each claiming a different word is my password, and each asking for a different random amount ($909, $949, $969, $979). Same kind of shit I've been getting for over a month now, just a differently worded message this time and different bitcoin account - anywhere form 4-6 a day. Does anyone fall for this shit? These scum need to die.

Lengthy extortion message which uses incorrect grammar and strange word choices indicating it may have been translated to English by an app. Shows a valid but old password and claims malware was installed on a router, and subsequently a Trojan on a computer . Claims to have "made a full dump of your disk" and to have turned on a camera and made recordings of perverse activities, which will be exposed if not paid $981 in 50 hours. A pretty entertaining read! Obviously full of falsehoods, but scary because password was real
