Typical sextortion scheme where the criminal claims to have hacked your email address and your computer and then secretly planted malware that captured video and audio of you pleasuring yourself on various porn sites and threatens to expose these so called videos to all of your contacts unless you pay them an x amount of dollars via bitcoin within 48 hrs.

I received and email where someone is claiming to have hacked my email and phone and had inappropriate pictures and videos of me as well as porn search history and all my contacts info and was threatening to send all this information to all my contacts in less than 48hrs if I don’t pay the sum of $2,412 US in Bitcoin. This appeared to be coming from my own email like I had sent it myself. I learned this was “spoofing”
