I get these emails quite regularly. Email purporting to be from a programmer who had hacked into victim's email & device 6 months ago after they had supposedly entered a password on an insecure site and he/she had "catched" (cached???) it. The programmer claims that even if the password is updated, his/her software will be able to update it every time. The sender claims to have sent an email from victim's account so they won't be able to contact or find him/her. The spammer claims to have uploaded malicious code to the OS, saved all victim's contacts and a complete history of internet sites visited. He/she claims to have uploaded rat software on the victim's device and to have been spying on me for a long time, and that they are not his/her only victim that his/her usual process is to lock the device and then extort money, but that because of the intimate websites the victim was supposedly going to, and video footage of the victim masturbating, has decided to blackmail instead. The spammer is asking for I think $934 and promises to remove the data automatically when the amount is received, as well as destroy the virus from the OS. They have given he victim 2 days (48 hours) to pay, and also claims to lock the device after 2 days if the victim doesn't pay.
