An email was received from this address ([email protected]) with the title “Hacker”, claiming that they have “cracked” my devices as I visited an “adult video website” and that they have supposedly gained access to my screen and webcam?? Anyways they linked their bitcoin address in the end asking asking for $500 as a fair price for “their little secret”. I hope Bitcoin would take the necessary measures to put an end to such scams and hoaxes that waste our precious time and trick naive innocents who believe in such a crap and have criminals take copious amounts of money from frightening people.
