Claimed to have installed a keylogger and remote control of my computer, and hacked my email. The ransom note was a jpg attachment. It came through telkomsa.net or telkom.co.za.

This is second mail. I get this blackmail as sent from my address, obviously it's a spoofing. He says he hacked me, followed me on porn sites, recorded with my webcam (which I do not have :)) and asks for $ 1000 for a bitcoin account.
