The email was spoofed as though it came from my own account. Of course there are faulty claims that they have a sensitive video of me. They referenced that I have two monitors which I thought was interesting because I do. they have requested $1450 USD worth of bitcoin. For some reason I suspect a call center ( I think, in the Philippines) for my Local News Paper which I called two days prior. But it may be a coincidence.

I've received a blackmail email claiming I was caught masturbating on camera and that they would release the footage if I didn't pay up — I don't have a webcam, I don't have a microphone and I don't watch adult content. The address above is the one they told me to send the money. I don't have a name for the scammer because their email address was spoofed. I've checked the BTC address and noticed someone already paid up. The sooner action can be taken the better.
