I received this ransomware email as well and it also provides an email address and supposed password. Since all my passwords are unique, I can 100% say that the email address/password for me was taken from my old MySpace account. MySpace had a huge data breach in the past and I had already changed my account email address and password to MySpace several years ago and so I know this was from a data breach of data from at least 3 or more years ago. So what I'm saying is they don't actually watch you, they are just regurgitating stolen data from companies that had security breaches.
