Blackmail scam

Abuser: https://onepaycoin.com/

I'm a freelance designer and was asked if I would accept bitcoin as payment so set up a wallet using onepaycoin.com as this was the only method of payment the customer could pay. I've paid £60+ worth of bitcoin into the site to verify myself which was not accepted and they are asking for photographic ID of my passport and utility bills which I'm not willing to give. When googling the company address it returns a random house in the UK although it claims it's a London based company. The site has also only been active since December and there is little to no information on the company. Everything about suggests a scam.

Blackmail scam

Abuser: Onepaycoin

This is a scam site. I am a freelance designer with a client claiming he could only pay using this site. After depositing a substantial amount of money to complete ‘verification’ and ‘premium’ obstacles, further obstacles seemed to take place meaning I could not withdraw the clients payment or my own deposits. After looking into further I went to the address listed as their company address and met the man Anthony Hickman that they claim is the creator of the company. Unfortunately Anthony was none the wiser of this site and unfortunately has not only had his identity stolen and his family home with wife and child listed as the company address but also was victim weeks earlier to his company being robbed of over £215k. He had also received a message which at the time believed to be a scam from another freelancer that had been scammed in the exact same way through the exact same job as me. Things fell immediately into place. Beware of this site.

I hope you don't fall for this scam as I did. https://onepaycoin.com/ I didn't end up giving any personal info, but spent time working on a project that wasn't real. I'm a freelance designer and this client said they could only pay via bitcoin on this site. It's a scam!!
