Abuser: Wallet has no name, no name given in email
I received an email claiming the sender had control of my device, spied on the sites I browse, and turned on my camera during 'personal time.' The sender threatened to send that supposed save video to all of my friends, family and colleagues, and demanded I pay them $680 in bit-coin to remove the video.
They gave this address:
"My address btc : 1EYTvwP8xgnjy27ND5jWkMNgPiMxxqRDgh"
...but gave no name. Apparently I have 48 hours to complete the payment, or everyone I care about will see what my webcam sees every day! The horror!
To be clear, this is what my webcam sees every day: (:P)
Yep. I've had my computer's built-in webcam covered ever since I bought it. IF (and that's a big 'if') anyone DID gain access to my cam from the other side of the connection and could see anything with it without light, all they'd see is the emoji sticker on the inside of the black tape I used to cover the lens. Scammer, you're out of your league and your writing is atrocious. Go back to school.
