Sender is unknown, used my own email to send the email itself. Hadn't noticed because it got tagged as spam. Below is part of what the email body contains. The amount they ask for is $900 in BTC.

So I'm a hacker who broke your email address as well as device a few months back.
You entered your password on one of the web sites you visited, and I intercepted that.
This is your password of -------- upon moment of compromise: -------
Nevertheless this won't matter much, my malware updated it each and every time.
By means of your e mail, I uploaded malware code to your Operation System.
Additionally I installed a Virus on your system.
You're not my only prey, I commonly lock pcs and ask for the ransom."
