I hadn't gotten one of these for _months_. Same tired old sextortion scam, claiming my system has been taken over, compromising videos have been taken and will be distributed unless blackmail ($708) is paid. This script kiddy didn't even bother including a stale password as "evidence" of having taken over my system. One new wrinkle is that the bitcoin address was split into two separate character strings, maybe to fool automatic scans. I _still_ don't understand how people fall for this--if this loser truly had that kind of system access, they wouldn't bother installing video software on the off chance I might do something embarrassing, and they certainly wouldn't be boasting about it. They'd instead be quietly running up charges on my credit cards before I noticed.
