Blackmail scam

Abuser: Unknown scammer

Sends email that spoofs your own email address and claims to have your password (which by my estimates is about 6 or 7 years old, probably pulled from a leaked database somewhere). Demands btc or they'll send all your contacts videos of you waking. I don't have a webcam lmao.

Blackmail scam

Abuser: They used my email address

Just got 3 more for a total of 6 emails today using the same bitcoin address. Bitcoin needs to find a way to stop these criminals. With all the blackmail attempts I have gotten threatening me saying they are going to send a non existing porn video of me to all my contacts, I would be afraid to have any kind of dealings with bitcoin. It looks like a haven for criminals.

The decision to suspend your account. Waiting for payment. What should you do? Well, I think $611 (USD dollars) is a fair price for our little secret. You will make a bitcoin payment (if you don't know, look for "how to buy bitcoins" on Google).

Abuser: some random skript-kiddie who STILL doesn't know what he's talking about

190105 - 19rvCcYfSwPUSvJJKNyTyRFi5vxt6zaqJC x4 - he doesn't have access to my computer, i don't look at porn, i don't even have a webcam, and he doesn't have any bitcoin in his wallet. ???? let's keep it that way. He is an adolescent wannabe loser. bitcoin needs to isolate and purge this wallet. ????

Blackmail scam

Abuser: Purported from my own email address

What I've done? I made a double screen video. The first part shows the video you watched (you have good taste, yes ... but strange for me and other normal people), and the second part shows the recording of your webcam. What should you do? Well, I think $673 (USD dollars) is a fair price for our little secret. You will make a bitcoin payment (if you don't know, look for "how to buy bitcoins" on Google).

Sextortion

Abuser: Untraceable: sent via bot net.

Fake sextortion email sent to the UNIQUE email address registered with cheapchips.com.au and contains password used to register with that site. Interestingly the email is not listed on haveibeenpwned.com as having been compromised. cheapchips was notified several years ago when I started receiving spam to the address I registered with them.
