The scam email was sent to the (unique) email address and contained the password used to sign up to myfitnesspal.com aka mfp.underarmour.com According to haveibeenpwned.com this unique email address was seen in a 2017 spambot dump. However, it was not specifically seen in a dump attributable to MyFitnessPal until 2018. I am guessing 2018 was not the first time they were hacked! Every email address I send out or sign up with is unique and not stored on my own servers. Instead I use a catch all email address to allow me to determine where my email address is leaked from.
